I can't believe in a week it will be February and that Nick and I have been married for four months already. We have been busy filling the house and making it ours. We also took a trip to Chicago and Wisconsin this past weekend for a little relaxation and Nick's company holiday/new year party. More on that in a future post.....
More on the decorating....my recent obsession is curtains. I have officially gone curtain-crazy. I have bought and still need to return a few because I keep finding other panels that I like more. There have been a few curtain fiascoes at the Fraser house. Let me just say that I hate ironing in general, so ironing several curtains is not my idea of a good time.
On the to-do list is buy a new light fixture for our dining room. The previous owners left theirs but it's not really our style - nor does it do anything for our new dining room table. We did a little mini-makeover of the current light by removing the little lamp shades, but we still were drooling thinking about our dream light. We have been eying a particular chandelier for a while now and with the price tag being more than we wanted to pay at the time we decided that we could live with the current fixture. After we went shopping at a few lighting stores we realized "the one" was a decent price for the other options out there (some ugly ones are $800+...straight up insane) We didn't find anything that we liked as much. A few weeks ago Nick told me that he was the #1 sales rep at his company (GO NICK, GO NICK!) and got a nice little tax-free bonus. Being the amazing husband that he is, he suggested that we use some of it to get "the one"! Woohoo! Can't wait till it gets here! Will post pictures when we bring him to his new home.
