Painting is Fun!

This past weekend, my lovely old roommate Kelsey and I went to Pinot & Picasso with some girls from her work. I have attempted painting before, but mostly abstract stuff and Kelsey was not very confident in her painting skills. The class was a ton of fun and you get to bring whatever food and wine you want which is awesome. I was very proud of Kels and I for our Van Gogh chrysanthemums. My painting is below, I will have to get Kelsey to send me a picture of hers so everyone can tell what a great artist she is!

Our fur child Zoey had an exciting weekend as well. Nick and I got ice cream on Saturday and we bought some doggie ice cream called frosty paws for Zoey. I thought it was a little ridiculous that Zoey's ice cream ended up costing more than ours, but she loved it! She entertained us by running around and shivering but she kept going back for more.

In other news, Nick and I continued our Christmas shopping over the weekend and tonight I started wrapping! I love wrapping presents and was excited to have gifts under the tree. Only a few more people to get gifts for...Nick and my Dad.

Christmas is Upon Us

This past Friday Houston received the earliest snowfall on record (a whopping 1/2 inch!). On my drive home from work I was pleasantly surprised at how much snow actually stuck! An even better surprise was seeing Nick's car in the driveway (he was working in Dallas at the end of the week and we ended up arriving back at the house at the same time). Zoey was not very willing to get her paws wet so I ended up forcing her to take this picture with me. Her face cracks me up.

I have been trying to get the Christmas spirit going in the house so I set up our tree the weekend before Thanksgiving so we can enjoy it as much as possible. Now all we need are presents!
