Excitement!

This past weekend and week has been a productive one...wedding-wise anyway. Nick and I finalized groomsman shirts and ties. He even found some gray and purple argyle socks for the groomsmen to wear (one of my recent obsessions) which made me really happy. My friend Gloria and I started crafting the table numbers, which I have been putting off for months now, but she got me motivated. I also started making fabric flowers again, which is incredibly tedious and BORING. If anyone cares about crafts as much as I do lately, below is a picture of what I am trying to accomplish. I even got to bust out the baby hot glue gun Nick encouraged me to buy months ago. Reminded me of crafting with my momma! :)

In other news, last week I asked three of my dear friends to be hostesses at our wedding! I am so blessed to have these ladies in my life and they have helped me tremendously throughout the planning process. I don't know what I would do without these girls.

Emily Sartain
Em and I have been friends since high school. Emily went to UT which gave me a reason to frequent Austin during college. Recently engaged, Emily is blog crazy which turned me into the addict that I am today! I encouraged her to start her own blog which beats the pants off this one! We have daily online chats where we share ideas and wedding inspiration as well as fuel one another's shopping obsessions. My workdays feel incomplete without having talked to her.

Gloria 'Montecalvo' Sanders

Gloria and I have known each other since college. We actually met at a recruiting event in San Antonio at the restaurant where Nick and I will be having our rehearsal dinner (small world)! Gloria also went to the same elementary school as my best friend, so I consider us destined to be friends. Gloria got married in May, so we have had tons of planning, showers, bachelorette parties and girls nights out. Luckily Gloria lives in Houston so we hang out often and I make her craft with me. She is awesome at it! Gloria has been the encouragement and level-headed friend that has kept me calm the past few months. I love her!

Kristin Thurmond
Last, but definitely not least, is Kristin! Kristin and Courtney met through Gloria and consider each other long lost friends. Kristin is the friend I should have had years ago, considering we lived across the street from each other for two years in college. Kristin got engaged in June...are you sensing a trend here...? I love sending her ideas for her Texas inspired wedding. When we are together we are bad influences on each other's bank accounts, but it's always worth it! Kristin is the fun-loving, enthusiastic friend that I have turned to for honest opinions, advice and those much needed girls' wine nights. Kristin is the friend that always has my back. I am lucky she'll have mine on my wedding day :)

This upcoming weekend two of my best friends are coming to visit me so I am super excited!
